Privacy
RenewalRadar is a portfolio project run by one person. It is invite-only while it is in testing. This page says what it does with your data.
What we access
When you sign in with Google, RenewalRadar asks for read-only access to your Gmail (gmail.readonly). It cannot send, delete or change any of your email.
What we store
- Your Google account email and ID.
- Your Google refresh token, encrypted before it is saved.
- For 7 days: the sender, subject and date of receipt-style emails from the last two years, so you can review senders. They are then deleted.
- Your approve or ignore choice for each sender.
- For senders you approve: the merchant name, amount, billing cycle and renewal dates.
We never store the body of your emails.
What is sent to an AI model
Nothing is sent until you approve a sender. For each approved sender, the sender, subject, date and the first 4,000 characters of the text of its latest charge-like email are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract the merchant, amount and billing cycle. You can preview exactly what would be sent before you approve.
Who else handles your data
- Google (sign-in and Gmail access)
- Anthropic (extraction, as described above)
- Neon (database hosting)
- Resend (sending alert emails)
- Google Cloud (application hosting)
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Google API data
RenewalRadar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- Use Delete my data on the Subscriptions page. It deletes everything we hold about you and revokes our Gmail access.
- You can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Questions or deletion help: kakarlamounika21@gmailcom .
- Every alert email has an unsubscribe link.
